The origin of WE CARE was an idea that got seeded in its Founder and President Col Amitabh Amit (Retd) from the concern about the condition of the Daily Wagers and Migrant Workers whose condition went from worse to worst because of implementation of nationwide Lockdown during the Covid-19 crisis in March 2020.
The condition across the nation was so grim that it moved a tough army man like Col Amit so badly that he decided to pitch in with help in terms of ration for them at their homes so that they could meet their needs within the ambit of the Lockdown.
But meeting the requirements of the needy single-handedly was a herculean task, but as said – ‘Log saath aate gaye, aur karwan banta gaya.’‘Navratan Foundations’, ‘Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sena’ and volunteers of ‘Citadel Security & Management Services ‘joined in with the requisite help. The entity which came up on 27th March 2020 was named WE CARE and was formally registered on 16thJuly 2020.
WE CARE stands for “Wellbeing Empathy Care” and is always prepared to help those who need it, either on its own or in collaboration with other NGOs.
Hence, we welcome all like minded people, bodies, organizations, etc. who are compassionate towards the ‘have nots’ with and would like to be a part of our effort to make this world a better place.
